The beauty about living on the Sunshine Coast is that we have so many amazing locations that we can use for a session. Whether it’s beach setting, bush, hinterland, waterfall or studio, we are sure to create some beautiful portraits for you to love and cherish. Your 1hr photography session will be used to capture the fun, love and connection of your beautiful family and to capture stunning portraits of you and just how amazing the journey into motherhood truely is.

Hi there!! I’m Julie, your local Sunshine Coast maternity Photographer. It brings me so much joy to capture those precious first moments of your little one’s life, and I am so very grateful for the trust that so many families have place in me over the past 10 years. As a mum, I know just how precious those early days are which is why I take great care to safely pose your newborn for their portraits. My goal is to create timeless images that you and your family will cherish for a lifetime, and I can’t wait to meet your little bundle of joy!

However, we also believe that printing your photos is key to truly preserving them for years to come. After all, a beautiful print on your wall or a cherished album on your bookshelf is much more likely to be treasured and enjoyed than a digital file that gets lost in a drawer or buried in a computer folder. We want you to be able to relive those special moments again and again.

We can book out months in advanced so be sure to contact us asap.
Pre-session consultation
I offer a pre-session consultation to get to know your family and your vision for the session. During this call, we’ll discuss what you’re hoping to achieve and answer any questions you may have.
I want to ensure that you and your family are fully prepared for the session, which is why we’ll send out a prep guide. This guide will provide you with useful tips and suggestions on what to wear, what to bring and what to expect during your session.
your session
Our maternity photography sessions are designed to be fun, relaxing and enjoyable for you and your family. We believe that the best photographs are captured when everyone is comfortable and having a good time.
Sessions are done either in our studio space or at a location of choice on the Sunshine Coast. Our sessions are 1hr in duration with our outdoor sessions done in the last hour of light in the afternoon taking full advantage of the “golden hour” which provides perfect light for your maternity session.
viewing your images
After your session, we’ll carefully select and soft edit your images. Within 3-7 days you will receive a gallery for you to choose your favourites.
Once you’ve chosen your favourite images and decided on a package, we’ll finalise the payment and start working on your order. Our packages are designed to provide you with a range of options to fit both your style and budget.
receiving your images
Waiting to see your images can be exciting, which is why we work hard to ensure that your images are ready for collection as soon as possible. After your package has been finalised, we’ll begin the process of assessing and perfecting your images to make sure they meet our high standards of quality and that it looks its best for printing.
Once your gallery has been completed, a link will be emailed through for you to download your images.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to book?
The best time for your maternity session is when you are between 24-36 weeks gestation. This means that you will have a nice round belly but will still feel super comfortable moving around and posing for your session. Once you have reached your second trimester is a great time to get in contact with us so that we can start planning where the session will take place, what to wear and who you would like included in the session.
Is the whole family included?
Absolutely! Get the family involved right from the very beginning, it’s all about capturing the story and they are one of the main characters. Imagine in years to come showing your baby how excited big brother/sister were for them to come into this world. Involving the siblings is also a great way for them to get a feel for what its like to be in front of the camera. We want them to feel comfortable so that when it comes to the newborn session they are all relaxed and full of beautiful smiles.
What do we wear?
The main focus of your images should be the connection and love between you and your family. Therefore avoid wearing patterned, large logos and bright coloured clothing. Bright coloured nail polish should also be avoided. Neutral coloured clothing is always a great option for your session. We also have a client wardrobe available for use.
