Frame It Photography: Celebrating 10yrs of family photography

Hey there!  I’m Julie your local photographer on the Sunshine Coast.  This year I will be celebrating 10years in business.  Here’s how it all began.

From a young age, I have always had a love for photography and admired the amazing work of many photographers especially Anne Geddes.  I was captivated by the way they could capture such beautiful and meaningful moments in people’s lives through their lenses.

In my last year of high school I was given and assignment to document life and our surroundings.   On the 19^th October 2000, we landed in Fiji to learn that my niece had been born before via emergency C-section.  The very next morning we drove to Suva for my brother to meet his daughter for the very first time.  The image you see attached is the very first moment my brother got to hold his baby girl with them locking eyes on each other.  Using a film camera back then, I didn’t realise the moment I had captured until I returned back to school to develop the image in the dark room.  It was this very image that sparked my passion for capturing newborns and the joy and special moments that comes with it.

It wouldn’t be for another 12 years, after birthing my second child, that I would turn my love for photography into a career.  Now, as a busy mum of four, I understand the importance of capturing those special moments in our lives and creating lasting memories to look back on.

After 10 years in business, I am proud to say that Frame It Photography has become a reputable maternity, newborn and family photography business on the Sunshine Coast.  I have had the absolute privilege of capturing countless special moments for families in our community, and I am excited for the years to come.

Whether it’s capturing the beauty of a newborn, the love of a family, or the excitement pregnant mum embarking on a new chapter, I always aim to create images that will be cherished for a lifetime.  To all the families that I have had the pleasure to meet over the past 10 years, thank you for entrusting me to capture these incredible moments, I truly feel incredibly lucky you chose me and to all the families I am yet to meet, I cannot wait to capture these special memories that I know you will cherish for years to come.
